Community Development Centre

,,Centre for Cultural Relationships – Caucasian House’’ has been working in regions of Georgia, particularly, Signagi Municipality village of Nukriani, since 1999. Initially, it had the format of a movement in the region and its motto was ,,Save Our Village’’. The implemented projects were based on the Caucasian House’s general vision and values, i.e. development of the village community capacities through education and culture.

Community Union Nukriani

The organization “Centre for Cultural Relationship – Caucasian House” commenced its activities in 1999 in Nukriani. Appearing of “Caucasian House” in the village promoted several interesting initiatives. The organization created real oasis for school children, young people who care for their personal success, general activities and welfare of the village. “Caucasian House”, apart from the work which it was performing itself, tried to rise interest towards Nukriani in different organizations and private persons. The German Association of People’s Universities (“DVV International”) was one of the first of such organizations. Trainings, general and crafts tuitions absolutely interesting and necessary for the community adults became possible on the basis of their assistance.

Goethe Institute

Goethe Institute and Soviet Past Research Laboratory have been collaborating within the project “Virtual Platform: Rethinking the Soviet Past” since January 2011. The institute hosts lectures/discussion held within the scope of the project.

“Goethe Institute is one of the most important institutions in the sphere of cultural exchange between Germany and the Caucasian countries. For those interested in Germany and German language Tbilisi Goethe Institute is an important and reliable partner.” Goethe Institute.

Netgazeti

Netgazeti and Soviet Past Research Laboratory have been collaborating within the project “Virtual Platform: Rethinking the Soviet Past”.

Within the scope of the partnership a Net-gazeti’s cameraman records videos of lectures/discussions which are later uploaded to the web-sites of the Netgazeti and the laboratory.

Besides, with the aim of creating the laboratory archive a Netgazeti's cameraman together with a journalist involved in the project record 10 oral histories with people who witnessed Soviet repressions which are later placed on the
laboratory’s YouTube web-page.

Archive Department of Ministry of Interior of Georgia

The archive division of the informational analytical department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia and Soviet Past Research Laboratory have been collaborating since the establishment of the latter.

 

It is the materials gained at three various archives of the archive division that are among those sources, upon which the research of Soviet Past Research Laboratory is based.

 

In accordance with the agreement with the informational analytical department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia, Soviet Past Research Laboratory is granted the right to publish the materials gained in archives in public space (including the web-page of the organization).

 

The cooperation between the archive division and Soviet Past Research Laboratory continues in 2011 as well within the project “Soviet Tbilisi”.

LIB.GE The textual version of the lectures/discussions held within the project “Virtual Platform: Rethinking the Soviet Past” of Soviet Past Research Laboratory is stored in the electronic library of lib.ge. lib.ge was established in 2006 and is the first Georgian electronic library.
