''Topography of Red Terror – Tbilisi'' was the very first project initiative of Soviet Past Research Laboratory funded by Heinrich Boell Foundation South Caucasus Regional Office and DVV International Georgia.

The project aimed to locate and map the precise sites in Old Tbilisi which were related to Stalinism, terror and repressions and where Soviet mass repressions were planned, executed or left any historical trace.

As a result of the research, the first guidebook was published. Based on the map which is included in the guidebook, Sovlab began to prepare an educational history tour and to develop an online platform of Topography of Terror.
